busy.busy.busy.

Here are a few detail shots of some new works/experiments in progress. I have really been enjoying the time I have to create lately. And don't get me wrong, I am always very grateful and appreciative for any time I am able to paint because I love painting to pieces, its without a doubt the peanut butter to my jelly but sometimes painting will have me so frustrated and tied in knots that I need to force myself to sit and push through a work session, but not recently. Sure there are always gonna be the bumps in the road, and the minor struggles, but for the most part I cant wait to come home, put my headphones on, pour a delicious cup of coffee, tune the world out and delve right in!

"Translucent Skin"

"Translucent Skin"

A hopeful touch,
greeted with a silent push,
the tension is delicious,
meet the dreaming "x"
its every porous desire revealed and consumed,
the surface longing of foreign flesh,
will trade coupled desires for countless connected threads and carefully collected feathers.

(cradle me in sleep,
the way risk eats that heart on my sleeve,
that heart that laughs at my hands,
the hands for which it beats.)

"Translucent Skin" Photo Process

Here is a brief process post for my newest work "Translucent Skin" which will be headed to London, England for the "Next Generation" show! Sorry about the photo quality, all the photo's were taken with my phone which makes them look kind of blurry and distorts the color, but hopefully you can bear with me!

The National

I got to see The National, one of my favorite bands of all time, play last night at The Wiltern In Los Angeles. It was the opening night of their U.S. tour in support of their fantastic new record "High Violet". I have been a fan of the band for a few years now and last night was my first time seeing them live, and in short I must say it was DEFINITELY worth the wait. If you haven't heard of them before, definitely give them a listen! Below are some pics I took from the show with my phone, and some of their tasty tasty jams! Enjoy!
